CANCELLED - Slimbridge Horse Show & Gymkhana

We have to inform you that due to the illness of a key member of the organising committee, Slimbridge Horse Show & Gymkhana, due to be held on Saturday 26th July, has been cancelled. Any entry fees already paid will be refunded.The contact telephone number for any enquiries is 01453 890338. The show will be run next year in a new format.

Ruling Must be Stopped

You may or may not be aware of the recent court ruling which has decreed that 29 of the equines rescued from Spindles Farm in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, must be returned to the Gray family, four members of which are awaiting trial on offences under the Animal Welfare Act (2006).  A further 82 horses must be removed from the sanctuaries where they are currently housed, to be sold at public auction on May 3rd.
 
Obviously this ruling defies any logic and, while it will be hard to overturn, we are asking you to do what you can.  To this end can you please take a couple of minutes to add your name to the online petition which has been organised by the National Equine Welfare Council,
